Community Impact Report 2020-2021

On March 4, 2021, we celebrated our esteemed founder and colleague Dr. Kenneth Cooper’s 90th birthday. Five decades ago, Dr. Cooper advocated for a new approach to medicine, which focused on disease prevention rather than disease management. In 1970, Dr. Cooper founded The Cooper Institute and commenced the Cooper Center Longitudinal Study (CCLS), which today contains more than 326,000 records from 116,000individuals representing over 2,200,000 person-years of observation.
