Health-Related Fitness Components

The FitnessGram® test battery assesses health-related fitness components: aerobic capacity, body composition, and muscular strength, endurance, and flexibility. Activity assessments are included for step or minute challenges, physical activity behaviors, and overall activity levels to provide teachers with a variety of ways to promote physical activity to students.

FitnessGram® Reference Guide

The FitnessGram® Reference Guide is intended to provide answers to some common questions associated with use and interpretation of FitnessGram® assessments. It was prepared as a collective effort of the FitnessGram® Scientific Advisory Board.

Organized in a question/answer format, readers may easily search chapters for responses to specific questions about youth physical activity and fitness.
