FitnessGram is provided in partnership with NFL Foundations as a part of the NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram program. In 2009, NFL Foundation awarded The Cooper Institute $4 million to support the NFL PLAY 60 campaign, an initiative that challenges youth to be active 60 minutes a day. Learn more.
The Healthy Zone School recognition program is a partnership between The Cooper Institute and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, championed by NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, to honor schools that have created an optimal environment for students to engage in healthy behaviors and support schools striving to do so. Schools receive funding and support to fully implement healthy practices on their campuses, as well as to initiate wellness programs that engage the surrounding community.
