Susan Johnson Sterling Scholarship

Overview

The Cooper Institute initiated the Susan Johnson Sterling Scholarship in 2006. This award is in honor of Susan Johnson Sterling who served as the Vice President of Education at The Cooper Institute from 1988-2005. Dr. Sterling's passion for education and her commitment to excellence in customer service still are priniciples held dear within the Department of Education. At her retirement, we are honored to offer scholarship aid to deserving individuals pursuing careers in health and fitness.

Award Process

Three scholarships will be given each year beginning in 2007. Scholarship award months will be February, June, and October.

Each scholarship will be in the amount of $500, and may be applied toward any course or certification exam the student wishes. Any monies left over may be applied toward another course, but not paid out in cash. Should the chosen course be worth more than $500, the student will be responsible for any remaining balance.

Each scholarship recipient will receive an award certificate by mail. This certificate must be used within one year from the date of issue.
