CONTRACT COURSE

Everyone knows it is important to exercise, yet sticking with it remains a problem. This course is packed with the highest quality of information which will allow you to develop the skills and techniques needed to maximize participation rates in order to truly change lives.

The Personal Training Education 4 1/2 day workshop is based upon fundamental scientific research in the field of physical activity. This course is for those interested in providing personal training, fitness guidance, and implementing individualized programs that are safe, effective and motivational. Get ready to experience "personal training for the personal trainer" in a live classroom workshop.

Please note: To make the most of your learning experience, we suggest that you pre-study prior to the course date by reviewing the course manual. Course manuals will be shipped to one location to the course host. Please contact the host at the course site to make arrangements to pick-up your course manual in advance or have shipped to you to allow pre-study.

COURSE CHECK-IN / HOURS

Specific course hours will be determined by the host site, but normally are as listed below. Hours selected by host site may include start and finish time that are shifted up to 30 minutes to an hour earlier or later. Times will be confirmed with your registration to the host, or can be inquired in advance by contacting the host site.

Day 1: (Check-in 7:30 am) 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Day 2-4: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Day 5: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

NEEDED ITEMS

Please wear fitness/workout attire to class each day, including shorts and a t-shirt for body composition testing. You will need to bring a calculator, a #2 pencil, notebook paper, and your course manual. Please read and carefully study your course manual before you arrive, if possible.

CERTIFICATION INFORMATION

To be certified as a Personal Trainer through The Cooper Institute you must register separately for the stand-alone certification test. Completion of the Personal Training Education (PTE) workshop does not certify you to become a Personal Trainer. You must successfully complete The Cooper Institute Certified Personal Trainer (CI-CPT) Examination to earn the credential CI-CPT.
