Law Enforcement Fitness Specialist - Manchester Township Police Department

police officer on bike on road The law enforcement profession increasingly uses physical fitness as a performance measure. The professional must understand fitness assessments and standards, absolute cut point fitness scores and referencing normative data. Using fitness testing scores is critical as a qualifying factor in the hiring process.

This 4.5-day Cooper Institute course being hosted by the Manchester Township Police Department in New Jersey, is designed specifically for the law enforcement and public safety professional who is involved in developing and delivering physical fitness programs in their academy or department.

Each course participant will receive a Principles of Health and Fitness Manual, and complete written, verbal and practical tests including a case study and completion of fitness assessment forms. Participants will need current CPR certification and must pass the written and practical tests in order to receive a Cooper Institute Certificate.

Have an EMT or Fire Service friend? Ask them to consider the Fire Service Fitness Specialist Course that is also being held in conjunction with this Law Enforcement course!

Needed Items: Please wear fitness/workout attire to class each day, including shorts and a t-shirt for body composition testing. You will need to bring a calculator (programable and cell phone calculators will not be allowed during testing), a #2 pencil, notebook paper, and your valid CPR card.

Cancellation Policy: A $40.00 cancellation fee will apply should you wish to cancel 3 weeks prior to the course. If cancellation within 3 weeks of the course date should occur, you may opt to attend the same course at another location or forfiet the the course fee entirely.
