This 3-day course introduces you to one of the most rewarding aspects of life -- coaching others to make positive lifestyle changes. This course uses six proven coaching models which empower the client to make choices and set goals. Influencing behavior change and adherence in clients is no easy task!
You, the coach, learn and practice effective coaching skills to guide your client, such as attending, reflecting, rephrasing, how to give feedback, facilitate decision making and to set S.M.A.R.T. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Rewarded, Timed) goals. You will employ multiple “Strategies for Success” for any “stage of change” and move your client to specific, measurable, accountable outcomes.

This is a curriculum-based testing course. Students who complete the course and pass the written test receive a Cooper Institute Certificate.
