The professional must understand fitness assessments and standards, absolute cut point fitness scores and referencing normative data. Using fitness testing scores is critical as a qualifying factor in the hiring process.

Two classes in one week. The 4 1/2 day Law Enforcement Fitness Specialist course is designed specifically for the law enforcement and public safety professional who are involved in developing and delivering physical fitness programs in their academy or department. The 1/2 day Law and Fire Injury Prevention workshop teaches these professionals to identify common job-related injuries in first responders and provides information on how to develop appropriate injury prevention programs. Gain the skills to select and teach strengthening, flexibility and balance exercises that target weak links that can lead to injury. Learn why a strong core is an important key to injury prevention and optimal execution of specific work-related tasks. Discover why core exercises like crunches are not enough to prevent injury. Practice the exercises and gain valuable teaching tips in hands-on breakout sessions.
