Health Conditions and Exercise

Formerly Special Populations and Exercise

Expand Your Client Base: Learn about Health Conditions and Tailored Strategies

As the American population ages and rates of obesity continue to soar, conditions such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis, and cardiovascular disease and stroke are becoming much more prevalent.

Most fitness professionals lack the knowledge and experience necessary to develop safe and effective exercise programs for these and other populations such as pre-postnatal women and individuals with asthma.

This course offers a unique opportunity for fitness professionals to not only learn more about these conditions, but also how to develop safe and effective exercise programs and learn the specific dietary guidelines for these groups. Course content includes lecture and hands-on activity sessions that are geared toward specific populations.

Significantly expand your customer base by becoming much more knowledgeable about exercise and nutrition guidelines for the tens of millions of Americans with health conditions.
