Learn how to save a life. The Heartsaver AED course was designed to teach you how to confidently respond to an emergency situation. You will learn how to properly administer CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and how to properly use an AED (automated external defibrillator) device. With a few hours of training, anyone can learn to perform CPR and operate an AED safely.
This class includes video presentation and monitored hands on training. Your training doesn't end there - each Student will receive a Heartsaver AED Workbook and CD that includes supplemental information for you to review at home at your convenience.
Many Cooper Institute courses require basic CPR to receive a certificate or certification. This Heartsaver AED class will fulfill that requirment. You don't have to be a Cooper student to attend Heartsaver AED - this class is open to the public.

This course does not include a written examination however demonstration of skills with a Cooper Institute AHA Instructor is required. Students who demonstrate appropriate skill level will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver AED course completion card.

- Friday course hours: 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm - CHECK-IN @ 1:20 pm
If you choose a Saturday course date the course hours are:
- Saturday course hours: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm - CHECK-IN @ 9:20 am
Needed Items:
Please come dressed in loose, comfortable clothing or workout attire
(shorts, T-shirt, tennis shoes). You will be practicing skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting. If you have any physical conditions that might prevent these activities, please tell an instructor. The instructor may be able to adjust the equipment if you have back, knee, or hip problems. Also, please let an instructor know if you are allergic to latex. You will need to bring a #2 pencil and notebook paper.
Unfortunately Cooper C-Notes are not accepted for this class.
