Kids Heart Challenge Grants

To celebrate the American Heart Association’s 40th year in schools, educators can apply for up to $5,000 in grants.

2018-2019 School Grants for Helathy Kids Game On Grant

In order to get every kid healthy and ready to learn, our Game On grants provide funding and resources for schools to improve or introduce new nutrition and physical activity programs. With a $1,000 grant, you can build a school garden, get equipment for active recess, host taste tests, and other nutrition promotion, start a before- or after-school activity club, and more. 

Applications are open from February 4 through April 5, 2019.

Parent-Led Grants

Parents: Here’s your chance to make your mark on school health! Apply for a $1,000 parent-led school grant that will provide funds and resources to revamp or introduce fitness or nutrition programs so that all students have access to healthy choices. Find out more. 


Good Sports Grant

Funding to buy new PE equipment to engage and encourage youth to be physically active.

Association of American Educators Foundation Grant

The grant can be used for a variety of projects and materials to enhance the classroom and improve student learning.

Funding: $500
Due Date: March 1st and October 1st annually

Kids in the Game: Go! Grants

Grants are available to elementary schools in all 50 states for physical activity programming before, during and after school, and can be used for equipment, facilities, professional development and programs aimed at increasing student physical activity to 60 minutes per day.

Funding: $1,000 - $5,000
Due Date: June 1 annually
