Previous Lecture Events
We have had a wonderful array of prominent health professionals both in the past lectures as well as over the history of the lecture series. These important people have played a important role in scientific research, public policy, government legislation, and innovative educational practices to shape the future for a healthier world.
Lecture Series History
Five years ago The Cooper Institute launched what has become our renowned signature event, “The Preventive Medicine & Wellness Lecture Series.” While the series serves as a vital fundraiser for the Institute, it has proven to be a dynamic community-based event and an excellent way to energize, educate and inform the public on the impact of healthy lifestyles and physical activity on everyone’s quality of life and longevity.
Each event is held in the home of a prominent Dallas resident and features an expert in a discipline related to preventive medicine and healthier living. The evening begins with a timely innovative lecture followed by a question and answer period. Dinner is then provided along with plenty of opportunity for social interaction and follow up with the speaker and the scientists and educators from the Institute.
A special thanks to the previous speakers and hosts who have graciously contributed to making our previous lecture series events a wonderful success. We thank you for your generosity and commitment to helping the Institute pursue it commitment to excellence.
